Living on Island Time

Today is my first night on the island, so as I sit on my balcony and look out at the Waikiki skyline, I am going to write a little bit about my trip so far. This was my first experience flying alone and to my surprise, it was a lot easier than I had anticipated! The only obstacle I faced was finding my Uber when I arrived at the Honolulu International Airport. I, obviously, was not familiar with this particular airport; therefore, explaining to my driver where I needed to be picked up was quite the challenge. Eventually, we found each other and, to my surprise, he spoke great English and was my age! On our way to my Airbnb, he showed me the popular spots around Waikiki and gave me some great tips on where I should eat and spend my time on the island!
